Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 November 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Winq Boards (“Boards”, “we”, “us”), including the whiteboard application at app.winq.world and the remote MCP endpoint at mcp.winq.world. By signing in or using Boards, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. A private testing service
Boards is currently a private test, not a public commercial product. Access is limited to invited testers. Features may change, break or be withdrawn while we test them. Boards is provided free of charge during this phase, and no service-level agreement or availability guarantee applies.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may use Boards only with the involvement of a parent or guardian where your local law requires it. You must be able to form a binding agreement in your country.
2. Accounts and Google sign-in
Boards uses Google Sign-In. You need a Google account to use the service. By signing in, you authorise us to receive your basic Google profile information (email address, display name and profile picture) as described in the Privacy Policy. Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply to your Google account.
- Provide accurate account information and keep your Google account secure.
- Do not share your session or let another person use your account.
- You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and authorised AI connections.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account or an AI connection has been compromised.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the boards, text, handwriting, equations, diagrams, images, stickers and other content you create or upload (“Your Content”). We do not claim ownership of it.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, back up and process Your Content solely to operate and provide Boards. This includes sending the parts of Your Content that you ask an AI application to work on to that application, and storing the resulting edits in your workspace.
You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights needed to upload it. Do not upload content that infringes someone else’s rights, contains malware, or that you are not allowed to store and process.
Boards is not a backup service. Export or copy anything you cannot afford to lose. We may maintain operational backups, but we do not guarantee that every deleted or corrupted item can be recovered.
4. AI features and MCP connections
Boards lets you connect an external AI application through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and OAuth. Examples include ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini CLI and OpenCode. When you approve a connection, that application can read and edit the boards belonging to your account, subject to the permissions you grant.
- AI applications are independent third-party services governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Review it before relying on it.
- AI actions can change or delete board content. Destructive commands require an explicit confirmation flag, but you remain responsible for reviewing changes.
- Do not use AI outputs as a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial or safety-critical advice.
- You can review and revoke AI connections at /oauth/connections.
We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, behaviour or data handling of a third-party AI application you choose to connect.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Boards to break the law, infringe intellectual property, harass others or distribute harmful content.
- Attempt to access another user’s account, boards, files or AI connections.
- Probe, scan or test the security of the service without written permission, except for responsible, limited disclosure of a vulnerability.
- Upload malware, ransomware, or code designed to disrupt the service.
- Interfere with the service, overload it, or use automated means to scrape or extract other users’ data.
- Resell, sublicense or provide Boards as a service to third parties without permission.
- Circumvent authentication, authorisation, rate limits or usage controls.
We may investigate suspected abuse and may suspend or terminate access where necessary to protect users, the service or third parties.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, where it is stored and how to request access or deletion. It forms part of these Terms.
7. Availability, changes and support
Boards is provided on an “as available” basis during the private test. We may add, change, limit or remove features, and we may pause the service for maintenance, security or cost reasons. Where practical, we will give notice through the app or the invitation channel.
Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis through the contact address below. No response time or uptime commitment applies during the private test.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Boards at any time and ask us to delete your account and boards. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, if your use creates a security or legal risk, or if the private test ends.
Where practical, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export content before access ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.
9. Third-party services
Boards relies on services provided by Google (sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Turso (database) and the AI application you choose to connect. Those services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, changes or acts of third-party providers outside our reasonable control.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boards is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data or business opportunity, arising from or connected with your use of Boards.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the private test evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes will be communicated through the app or the invitation channel where practical. If you do not agree to an updated version, stop using Boards and contact us to delete your account.
13. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer our rights as part of a reorganisation or transfer of the service, subject to your rights under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply at the operator’s principal place of business, without depriving you of mandatory protections available in your country of residence.
